DCS Mission Studio 0.4.0a6 alpha

This is an alpha version. It has not passed a load and re-save check in the DCS Mission Editor.
Open every edited mission in the DCS Mission Editor and check it before use.

Independent application source: MIT, Copyright (c) 2026 DCS Mission Studio contributors.
This is an independent editor; no DCS code, map, logo, mission, icon or proprietary asset is included.

Windows packages contain CPython 3.13.5 and Tcl/Tk 8.6.15. Their licenses are separate
from the application's MIT license. Preserve this notice, licenses/, DEPENDENCIES.md
and BINARY-DISTRIBUTION-TERMS.txt with redistributed binary packages.

The interpreter and runtime libraries are used unmodified as supplied by Python.
Selected standard-library modules are frozen for packaging. PyInstaller 6.22.2's
standard bootloader, loader and runtime hooks are used without modification.
The bootloader/loader use GPL-2.0-or-later with the PyInstaller bootloader exception;
runtime hooks use Apache-2.0. These terms do not change the application source license.

CPython includes third-party code under its own notices, including zlib, bzip2,
liblzma, OpenSSL, libffi, libmpdec, HACL*, BLAKE2 and numeric/hash implementations.
The native package includes libffi through _ctypes, liblzma through _lzma,
bzip2 through _bz2, libmpdec through _decimal, and OpenSSL 3.0.16 (libcrypto-3.dll
through _hashlib and _ssl, libssl-3.dll through _ssl; _ssl serves the optional online
map's HTTPS tile requests). Their notices are retained
in licenses/, including the complete CPython incorporated-software notices.
The actual packaged-component inventory is recorded in DEPENDENCIES.md.
The comprehensive CPython notices also cover optional modules that may not be shipped.

Tcl also incorporates LibTomMath under its Unlicense/public-domain dedication.
The corresponding vendored license is recorded at:
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/python/cpython-source-deps/tcl-core-8.6.15.0/libtommath/LICENSE

Microsoft code contained in the Windows runtime remains Microsoft Distributable Code.
The Python Windows additional conditions and the downstream binary terms apply;
the MIT license does not relicense that code. No Microsoft endorsement is claimed.

Coastline and land-border lines on the coordinate sketch come from Natural Earth
(https://www.naturalearthdata.com/), which is in the public domain. Made with Natural Earth.
The two archives are shipped unmodified in dcsmission/data/naturalearth:
ne_10m_coastline.zip (its VERSION.txt reads 5.0.0-pre9) and
ne_10m_admin_0_boundary_lines_land.zip (5.1.0). Natural Earth draws de facto
boundaries; showing them implies no position on any boundary.

Loaded missions and assets retain their original owners' rights. This notice grants
no permission to redistribute those files. The bundled demo is original synthetic
test data and has not been validated as a flyable DCS mission.

The new-mission flow generates a structural candidate with empty unit placements
and empty airport/warehouse stock. Native DCS compatibility and playability remain
unverified. The application does not replace all stock mission-editor functions.

Earlier notice (0.3.1 source validation candidate, kept for history):
DCS Mission Studio 0.3.1 source validation candidate. This candidate was provided as source only.
No 0.3.1 Windows ZIP has been built.
The preserved 0.3.0 Windows package did not include the new-mission flow.
