This page explains what information is handled when you browse the FFS website (freedomflight.jp) and where it is sent.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

This site uses Google Analytics, an analytics service provided by Google LLC, to understand how the site is used and to improve it. When you view a page, your browser sends the following information to Google:

• The URL and title of the page you viewed, and the referring page
• Device information such as browser, OS and screen size, language settings, and approximate location
• Interactions such as scrolling, clicks on external links and file downloads, and when they occurred
• A random identifier stored in a cookie to distinguish browsers

This information is used only to measure page views and usage trends as statistics. In analytics, we do not collect information that identifies you personally, such as your name or email address (see the Discord login section below for what that feature handles), and we do not use it for advertising or targeting.

How to opt out

• Install Google's Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on
• Block cookies or tracking in your browser settings

Opting out does not affect your ability to browse this site.

Information stored on your device by this site

• Cookie ffs_lang: remembers your display language (Japanese / English) for one year
• Cookie ffs_theme: remembers your display theme (Wakaba / Dark) for one year
• localStorage ffs-dbar-dismissed: remembers that you closed the Discord banner
• Cookies ffs_session and ffs_oauth_state: used for Discord login (below)

The display preferences are used only to adjust the display and are never sent anywhere other than this site.

Discord login (your section on the Flight Board)

On the Flight Board (/rewards), you can log in with your Discord account to see your own rewards, titles and ranks. Logging in is optional; the board can be viewed without it.

• Information obtained: only your Discord user ID (the only permission requested is identify). We do not store your username, email address or access token.
• Purpose: the user ID is used to look up and display your rewards, titles and ranks recorded on the FFS DCS server. It is not shared with third parties.
• Where it is kept: the user ID is kept in a signed cookie, ffs_session, in your browser (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax, valid for 7 days). Nothing is stored on this site's server.
• Login check: a cookie, ffs_oauth_state, holds a value that prevents forged logins for 10 minutes. It is deleted when login completes.
• Logging out deletes ffs_session. Clearing your browser cookies has the same effect.

Logging in takes you to Discord (discord.com) to approve access. Discord handles information on that screen under its own privacy policy.

Externally loaded scripts

The library used to refresh the status displays (htmx) is loaded from unpkg.com. When it loads, information included in any ordinary request, such as your IP address and browser type, reaches that service.

Changes to this policy

If our practices change, the revised policy and its revision date will be posted on this page.
